Some useful tips
As we look to reopen our businesses and get back to normal, it’s understandably worrying times for local businesses. The government hasn’t been our friend during lockdowns and most of you will have incurred some serious debt during this period. We’ll be updating this page with useful links and tips to ensure you don’t fall into some of the traps others have found themselves in.
If you’d like to chat with others who find themselves in a similar situation, please register on the forum where we have a dedicated section for business owners.
Dealing with maskless shoppers
You can put a sign in your window to ask customers to wear a facemask unless exempt and if a customer enters your premises unmasked, you can remind them they need to wear a mask.
However, be careful…
Did you know, it’s unlawful to ask a customer for proof that they have a disability? This is deemed as discriminatory behaviour and could result in a hefty fine, a recent case resulted in £7,000 compensation. Given the current economic climate and hardships people are suffering, there’s no doubt a number of desperate people out there who would jump at the chance of filing a lawsuit. Please don’t make it easy for them, there’s no need to discriminate against people with disabilities, hidden or otherwise.
This would be deemed as discrimination. You can remind customers that they must wear a facemask unless exempt, but if they reply with “I’m exempt” then you have to take them at their word. In the UK, anyone can self-certificate for this, they do not need a letter from a GP. Further details can be found on the official UK Gov website.
Taken from the official gov.uk website:
If you have concerns regarding disabled customers who choose not to wear a mask, it’s recommend to do some research outside of the mainstream media. Up until 2021, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended against the general public wearing masks, however after a lot of political pressure they’ve recently changed their stance. If you look at all the scientific papers on the efficacy of masks, you’ll find the general consensus among the scientific community is that they’re detrimental to your health and offer very little (if any) protection.
You’ll find many leading scientists and health professionals have debunked the theory that masks will help stop transmission of a virus. Unless the mask is of high medical grade, the wearing of masks is deemed a pointless exercise. Many states in the USA have already scrapped the mandating of masks, as have a number of countries throughout Europe. A large number of health professionals and scientists have also voiced their concerns regarding continued use of facemasks, there is evidence to suggest prolonged use can pose serious health risks.
Please visit our Rabbit Hole section if you’d like to learn more, you’ll find links to experts and media outlets that have been silenced and often labelled as “conspiracy theorists” for voicing opinions which debunk the mainstream narratives. These experts and journalists have been silenced by the same Government that has decimated our communities and attempted to ruin your livelihood, please ignore the fear mongering on the mainstream media and consider switching to some of the reliable alternative media outlets which use unedited footage, offer full facts and don’t cherry-pick partial sections of data to further their agenda.
Remember, we’re all in this together and all want the best for our communities. Do not let the Government divide us.
We’re unable to offer legal advice but if you’re a UK business, here’s the official requirements of what’s needed to make your business “Covid secure”. You’ll find the Governments advice to business owners during the Covid outbreak has been equally as vague as the advice they give to the general public.
There are a number of sections on the link above, which can easily be interpreted as rules (law) when in fact they’re nothing more than recommendations. Look out for words such as “it’s recommended” or “you could…”, always question whether or not something is mandatory or just advice. Not only is there a cost implication in implementing some of these measures but you could find yourself alienating some customers who feel intimidated by some of the suggestions.
Different business sectors have different restrictions they have to enforce, so always do your research. If you feel strongly against alienating potential customers, have a listen to the interview below with Dino Joachim. Dino is the owner of the Nightingale hotel on the Isle of Wight, he’s refused to go along with any of the Government recommendations and has not kept quiet on his views regarding masks!
Be prepared for what’s to come
You may have seen the global elites use the phrase “build back better”, this is a term coined by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF was founded by Klaus Schwab in 1971, it’s a collection of the worlds wealthiest and most influential individuals who meet at Davos once a year and plan how businesses and the world in general should live our lives. The group consists mostly of royalty, politicians, heads of state and billionaires.
If you’re not familiar with what the global elites have planned for us, essentially their long term plan is to destroy all small businesses and replace with huge corporations. The WEF themselves refer to this as “The Great Reset” but you may also know it as the “new world order” or “4th industrial revolution”. This is not a conspiracy theory, the information is out there for all to see. They’re regularly creating new videos explaining what they have planned for us but they generally get ignored by the MSM, the recent “You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy” video is particularly disturbing.
During the lockdowns we’ve already seen this starting to play out, the likes of Amazon have seen their profits soar while small local businesses have been forced into closure at alarming rates. We must support these local businesses wherever we can, many of these are family owned and have been built up over generations, they’re essential to our way of life and are the lifeblood of the community. Below is a brilliant short video from Sky News Australia which explains in 5mins what the Great Reset is all about and how it might affect your business.
According to a pre-pandemic report, the 26 richest billionaires owned as many assets as the 3.8 billion people who make up the poorest half of the planet’s population! Given the current trend of profit (for billionaires) and losses (for us normal people) during the “pandemic”, one can only imagine the wealth shifts have soared to even higher levels since this report was produced.
